What an employer needs to do to be in compliance and respond to audits by government agencies.

Breakfast Seminar

Thursday, September 30, 2010 — 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Compliance with wage and hour law protects the rights of your employees and defends your organization from costly fines and penalties, civil lawsuits, and negative publicity. California wage and hour laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) require employers to adhere to a set of strict regulations governing wages and hours in employment. Employee classification, meal and rest periods, independent contractor versus employee status and overtime calculations are all areas under scrutiny by state and federal agencies. Join us in an information-packed breakfast seminar where these rules will be covered and where you will also learn how to respond to investigations by the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor; and you will also be provided with a legal update on the very the latest employment law court decisions by our legal experts.
